Rhinoplasty is typically performed as an outpatient procedure and requires general anesthesia. Prior to the surgery, the plastic surgeon will assess the patient's facial features and create a customized plan to achieve the desired nose shape. In addition, 3D images may be used to show the expected outcome. The surgeon will determine whether an open or closed approach is needed based on the patient's needs. During the surgery, incisions are made around the nostrils and sometimes at the base of the nose. The tissues are then reshaped to enhance both the function and aesthetic appearance of the nose.

Do I qualify for a rhinoplasty?

Can the rhinoplasty procedure be painful?

Do I require a closed or an open rhinoplasty?

How long will recovery be?
Recovery time varies per patient, but most patients can resume work within a week or two after surgery. Swelling can persist for up to 6 weeks and the nose will continue to heal over the course of 6 months.
