An otoplasty procedure is performed to reshape the ears and can use either local or general anesthesia depending on the patient's health and condition. The surgeon makes small incisions on the back or inner creases of the ear, removes or rearranges cartilage and skin as needed, and creates a natural-looking ear as a result.
