Do I qualify for glaucoma surgery?
Patients who have severe glaucoma in one or both eyes and have tried other non-surgical treatments without success are candidates for surgery. To find out if you are a candidate for surgery, we advise you to consult one of our qualified doctors.
Which procedure do I need?
The type of operation you require depends on where in your eye the pressure caused by glaucoma is impacting you. Certain operations might be carried out after unsuccessful attempts at other types of surgery. To better understand your needs, we advise you to consult one of our qualified doctors.
How should I get ready for surgery?
The morning of the procedure, the doctor will examine your eye to identify the pressure sites and will typically ask you to continue any other forms of treatment until then.
Will the surgery cause me any pain?
You will only feel pressure during surgery after your doctor applies drops to numb your eyes. General anesthesia may be requested by some patients from the surgeon. We advise you to consult one of our qualified doctors to determine what is best for your body.
After surgery, what happens?
You can feel some irritation and burn just after the treatment, and your eyes might start to moisten. Following surgery, your vision will first be cloudy for a few weeks before progressively becoming clearer.
