Museo Nacional de Costa Rica
This museum invites people to learn about natural and cultural history of Costa Rica, from pre-Columbian to modern times. The museum is located in an emblematic downtown building and features different exhibitions, gardens and it has a butterfly house where you can enjoy the sight of different butterfly species and endemic plants

Parque Central de San José

Located in the heart of the city, this is the oldest public park in San José, many events have occurred in this place, it features gardens and a kiosk and many different areas to relax, it also has many different statues and sculptures, its right in front of the cathedral, and it’s a great location to rest for a while when exploring the city

Mercado Central de San José

This is the biggest market in the city, occupying around four blocks of the city, it includes a complex pathway inside with over 200 shops, restaurants, and sodas, a small type of family owned restaurant in Costa Rica where you will be able to enjoy some local food at a low price. You can also find a variety of products in here, from boots, herbal remedies, flowers, souvenirs and local crafts, you are bound to find something for you in here!
